Hello there! I’m not a fan of talking about myself, but an introduction seems to be in order. So, who is the person behind the creative ideas on this blog? I am a Christ follower, a wife, a mom, and a creative. My mind is always full of creative ideas from crafts to school projects to event planning to cooking.

I have been an avid crocheter for over a decade and sell my yarny creations and original patterns on Etsy, at vendor markets, and in a little maker boutique called Hometown Finds. I enjoy other crafty things like scrapbooking, sewing, embroidery, watercolor, gardening just about anything. I feel at home in a craft store.
Since leaving my job as a Montessori teacher assistant and became a full-time mom in 2021, I have finished a graduate degree in developmental psychology, had a second child, and started homeschooling. I put my creative ideas (and gifted ability to replicate Pinterest ideas) into action with school projects. My oldest has inherited the creative bug and loves to be artistic too. I rely heavily on the Montessori Method and draw inspiration from other Montessorians.
When I say event planning, I mean event planning. Birthday parties are no small thing in this house. At least, that is what I have come to accept. Believe me, it is often scaled down from what I would want to do with an unlimited budget, and I still manage to make it immaculate on a much smaller budget. My future dream is to own an art gallery that is also an event space. I would love to help plan weddings and use my space as their venue, host creative events, and provide a space for creative minds to work. For now, I give my children awesome birthdays, and maybe a wedding or baby shower here and there.
I often use new recipes when making a meal plan while using ones I love until I tire of them. I just love trying new recipes, and I plan it out to use up ingredients we already have. This is great for the budget and it’s fun to learn. Otherwise, I often make stuff up, throwing together what we have in the kitchen and it’s usually successful. It’s time I start writing these down.
This blog page is something I have been dreaming of for a long time and have finally put it into fruition. Like I said, I’m not a fan of talking about myself, but it’s time I shared with the world the creative things I do. What I have learned is that being creative is for everyone and isn’t as hard as someone might imagine, people just find it intimidating sometimes. I’m hoping to inspire others to be creative too. Plus, as a parent, creativity comes in many ways, not just crafts. This is what I hope to accomplish with this space; to share my creativity in a variety of areas because no one is just one thing.
I’m glad you stopped by and hope to inspire you to do something creative today.
